JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Work:

 

Do you like to do the exact same thing every day? Neither do we! Every day is different. We are looking for skilled Tile Setters who are willing to work within Ontario at various jobsites. Duties will include but never limited to:

• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Take direction from Crew Leaders and Project Managers
• Substrate preparation including, remove existing finishes, prepare surface
• Material preparation including, inspection of material, preparing material for installation and mix materials
• Material setting including, installing tiles, stone slabs
• Finishing
• Resolve problems when they arise
• Report on progress

Skills and Abilities:

• 3-5 years trade experience required
• Experience with swimming pool construction considered an asset
• Excellent safety record
• Working at Heights Certification
• Clean driver’s abstract and background check
• Trained in equipment operation
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent logical analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to be agile and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Deadline driven
• Technologically literate

Working Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor work year-round throughout Canada
• Fast paced work environment
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds
